Gwendoline, the elderly lady with demetia I was caring for, went into nearby a Nursing Home last year.
I've been visiting her daily, and she was in good spirits yeasterday, but the Nursing Home just rang me to say that she has had a fall and injured herself badly. She actually hasn't been able to walk much at all in the last few months, but apparently she got up in the night in a confused state and fell.
I'm on my way to see her now, but I ask for your prayers for this dear old lady.

Thank you for your prayers.
Gwen is OK, a bit shaken up, a few sutured skin tears and she is going to have a shiner tomorrow, but she greeted me with a smile and ate the fish and chips I took her (her favourite food). The staff at the nursing home were more upset than she was! Please keep her in your prayers, and remember also all those wonderful staff who care for her.

I was visiting with an elderly parishioner of my own yesterday, who had taken a fall and dislocated her shoulder in the process. She had to be immobile for over an hour until someone noticed her.

Gwen has not been well in the last 24 hours and has been in respiratoy distress with pulmonary edema. This is probably end stage heart failure. I received a call a little while ago that she has been commenced on Morphine. I am on my way to visit her ( a bit bleary eyed as it is 4:30am here). Please remember Gwen in your prayers that her journey home to God may be eased.
