For my wife's test (again)
« on: February 24, 2009, 11:33:41 AM »
As many long-standing posters know, my wife has made several unsuccessful attempts to pass the bar exam in our state to be an attorney.

Every time this test comes around, she comes within a few points of passing but can't break through.  She has tried various techniques to study differently, write differently, etc., so we'll see what happens this time around...

Would you kindly pray for my wife that God's will be done in her life and that she have the patience to accept whatever the result is again.  While everyone "knows" that the bar exam is hard to pass, when one has taken it more than the average amount of times that others need to pass, that adds additional psychological stress.

In addition, my wife gets migraines and one came two days ago. Please pray that they do not return while she is testing!

Thank you for your prayers for my wife.

Yours in Christ,

Fr Anastasios

Lord, have mercy! Guide Your faithful handmaiden, give her strength and wisdom, and heal her migraines, and relieve her disstress!

Lord, have mercy.

Grant your handmaiden peace, and allow her mind to open and reveal its knowledge when she needs it most.

Lord, have mercy.

Knock and the door shall be opened.  Keep knocking!!!

Conquer evil men by your gentle kindness, and make zealous men wonder at your goodness. Put the lover of legality to shame by your compassion. With the afflicted be afflicted in mind. Love all men, but keep distant from all men.

Lord have mercy!
Question a friend, perhaps he did not do it; but if he did anything so that he may do it no more.
A hasty quarrel kindles fire,
and urgent strife sheds blood.
If you blow on a spark, it will glow;
if you spit on it, it will be put out;
                           and both come out of your mouth

Throigh the prayers of Saint Aedh MacBricc, Bishop of Meath, who cured Saint Brigit of a headache, may Presbytera be spared the pressure of any headache for her exams.

Troparion of St Aedh MacBricc tone 1

Founder of churches, Wonderworker Hierarch and curer of headaches,/ thou
art rightly praised for thy missionary labours,/ O Father Aedh
Macbricc./ We celebrate thy memory, O Saint,/ praying that we may be
given grace to emulate thee,/ for the re-establishment of Orthodoxy in
these islands/ and for the salvation of our souls.

Dear Lord, please help you loyal handmaiden and grant her the perfect result. Heal her from migraines and protect her from any other health issues. Dear Jesus, please also bless her family.

Lord, have mercy. Kyrie Eleison.

Very best wishes to Presbytera. Her dedication and hard work are highly commendable.

Thanks everyone.

My wife got done with the test, with no migraines.  She will find out in a month what the results are.  If she passes I'll let you all know ;)
