"O Cross of Christ, all-holy, thrice-blessed, and life-giving, instrument of the mystical rites of Zion, the holy Altar for the service of our Great Archpriest, the blessing - the weapon - the strength of priests, our pride, our consolation, the light in our hearts, our mind, and our steps"
Met. Meletios of Nikopolis & Preveza, from his ordination.

Conquer evil men by your gentle kindness, and make zealous men wonder at your goodness. Put the lover of legality to shame by your compassion. With the afflicted be afflicted in mind. Love all men, but keep distant from all men.

O Christ, Who alone art our Defender: Visit and heal Thy suffering servant Fr. Jerry, delivering him from sickness and grievous pains. Raise him up that he may sing to Thee and praise Thee without ceasing, through the prayers of the Theotokos, O Thou Who alone lovest mankind.
Domine Iesu Christe, Fili Dei, miserere mei, peccatricis.

News: his surgery went very well yesterday.  They were able to remove the mass and the nearby Lymph Nodes; it does not appear that the cancer spread anywhere.  He spoke today to the secretary (Presvytera would only let him speak for 10 seconds on the phone) and is doing okay.  We are awaiting the pathology report on Thursday.  Thank you for your prayers.

And may the Lord have mercy on all those afflicted by illness in the world - and may He keep the memory of all those who have fallen asleep through such terrible afflictions as cancer eternal!

hi
Appreciate your intrest for your priest.  May it be rewarded by the Almighty as His word says ye who honour my servants honour me.
Let your concern be the concern of God and Let Him take over the matter for His Glory.
