Last night we had to take my daughter to the emergency room with an ear infection and a fever of 105°F (40.5°Celsius). The doctor gave us some good medicine, and her fever has been reduced to 101°F (38.3°C), but she's still not feeling well. Scary night for our family.

O holy Father, heavenly Physician of our souls and bodies, who hast sent thine Only-begotten Son our Lord Jesus Christ to heal all our ailments and deliver us from death: do thou visit and heal they little handmaiden, granting her release from pain and restoration to health and vigor, that she may give thanks unto thee and bless thy holy Name, of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit: now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.

Well, we went back to urgent care last night and got a new medicine, which seems to be working better. She's not in as much pain, and her fever has been hovering around 100°F (38°C). Still fighting, and my wife will have to stay home with her tomorrow (we've been alternating so neither of us has to use as much sick time--it's precious in the States).
Thank you all for your prayers. She's not recovered yet, but it looks like she will soon.

O Christ, Who alone art our Defender: Visit and heal Thy suffering handmaiden Caitlin, delivering her from sickness and grievous pains. Raise her up that she may sing to Thee and praise Thee without ceasing, through the prayers of the Theotokos, O Thou Who alone lovest mankind.

Thank you for all who have prayed for us. She has completely recovered. She's still going to be taking an antibiotic for a few days, but otherwise is back to normal.

Thank you all for your prayers. Caitlin is doing much better, is back in daycare, and hopefully she'll get over this ear infection. She's having a mild allergic reaction to the antibiotics, though, so we're still keeping a watchful eye on her.
