Let us pray for the health of the forum itself: that we may be at peace with each other; that we may all grow in knowledge and wisdom; that we may grow in grace and holiness; that our list will be a valuable resource for Christians everywhere; that our list might be an example to the world and to the Church of Christians at our best.
Let us pray for the members of the list: pray for someone who has recently asked for prayer; pray for the writer of the last message you read; pray for your special friends on the list; pray for someone you have not heard from in a long while; pray for the person on the list you disagree with or dislike; pray for the lurkers you never hear from.
Let us pray for the Church and the world: that the Good News might be proclaimed and received joyfully; that the wonders of the ancient Faith might be better known, especially where it can serve to bring someone back to the Truth.

Excellence of character, then, is a state concerned with choice, lying in a mean relative to us, this being determined by reason and in the way in which the man of practical wisdom would determine it. Now it is a mean between two vices, that which depends on excess and that which depends on defect.

I moderate a list for Celtic Christianity and every two weeks the prayer gets sent out to the list. I thought it was kind of good for this list also. Fr Ambrose

Question a friend, perhaps he did not do it; but if he did anything so that he may do it no more. A hasty quarrel kindles fire, and urgent strife sheds blood. If you blow on a spark, it will glow; if you spit on it, it will be put out; and both come out of your mouth
