I have a different perspective based on my life experiences. Men are more sensitive, emotional and caring than women. Sometimes it takes sharing a bottle of red wine to find that out, sometimes not.

Actually, OO bishops do receive Holy Fire fron an EO Patriarch right after he leaves the Tomb.

Truly then is His Most Godly Beatitude merciful! In his love, he deigns to bring the Light of the Lord even unto the blind.  Wink

No.  He is in Guantanamo.  He tried explaining that Orthodox priests have beards too but they were having none of these shenanigans.

John the Baptist has wings so that he can fly around and find his head, which the Orthodox Church seems to be in the habit of losing frequently.

When I visited Spain, I found that many Churches that had two clock towers would have their two clocks showing different times. It was explained to me that this is so as to confuse the devil and foil his plans for mischief!

On my way back to Albuquerque from a vacation in California a few weeks ago I brought my copy of Sidney H. Griffith's "The Bible in Arabic: The Scriptures of the 'People of the Book' in the Language of Islam" with me to read at the airport. It's a serious discussion of the origins of the Bible in Arabic starting from the early Islamic period (when we first start seeing Arabic translations of the Bible), written entirely in English (including the dust jacket). So I was surprised when a middle-aged Filipina lady tapped me on the shoulder and asked "Is that the Bible in Arabic language?" I told her no and explained what it is and she walked away kind of sadly. It was very strange to me...I guess the idea is that books in other languages should still have English titles so that people who can't read them can tell what they are anyway?  Huh
