John Crowder and "Toking the Ghost"
« on: January 24, 2009, 02:42:40 AM »
Are any of you aware of this phenomenon?  This is the new level of extremity for the "charismatic" movement.  The first clip is from a "homily" of this "teacher", the rest are of others who are into "toking the Ghost", "Smoking Baby Jesus" and whatever else offends "religious demons."

Hubby and I both laughed watching these silly videos.  At the same time, it's sad that anybody would think this is legitimate "Holy Spirit" activity.

From where I am I cannot view these vids in depth but the preaching seems like a standup comedy style routine and I guess the drug bust video is passable for an anti drug message (only briefly saw 2 vids). Shortly before leaving a Pentecostal church I attended I witnessed (for the first time ) a stand up style of preaching from a guest pastor and found it unsettling (and I do not mean to be critical). This must be an even newer trend in "charismatic" preaching starting to replace(?) the standard sola scriptura preaching.
