Please pray for the child, Robert and his family. He is 15 years old and has been battling bone cancer, and has been in the hospital since November. He is not doing well, and yesterday the family was informed that Robert is terminal.

Lord have mercy! My niece died from her organs shutting down, which spared my sister the decision of pulling the plug, which is what the doctors were discussing. As long as it is peaceful, it can be a blessing that the parents are spared the decision. |

Here's the latest I heard this morning..."Prayer is helping! Saturday night they only gave him 24-48 hours. He's still hanging in there. He's not well, obviously but he is still alive. His sister Hearther flew down there this AM to see him."

Just got this...Please keep the whole family in your prayers:
"Heather came back from JAX yesterday and said Robert is in a deep coma, no swallowing reflex and his GI tract has shut down. I don't know what is keeping him going. The only thing he is receiving is meds for pain and fluid with nutrients in it. This is all through IV."

There is a poster for the Make a Wish foundation, which I see on the bus on the way to work, with the title "It doesn't take super powers to make a child a superhero." He looks like my son Michael, and I feel like crying every time I see it.

I don't even know Robert and his family, but its so depressing, knowing he and they are going through all this. |
