Thanksgiving prayer for the crashed jet passengers
« on: January 16, 2009, 02:03:51 PM »
Glory to God! Amazing how that big jet plane crashed yesterday in the icy waters of the Hudson river, and all 100+ passengers were rescued. Lord, thank You for everything!
Love never fails.

Truly a miracle!

Thank You, Lord!

Conquer evil men by your gentle kindness, and make zealous men wonder at your goodness. Put the lover of legality to shame by your compassion. With the afflicted be afflicted in mind. Love all men, but keep distant from all men.

Thanks be to God!  And blessings on the pilot.

I sat through the extended coverage just to make the point that you can have good news as news.  It reminded of how I felt, when they had the 6 miners trapped, and the morning headline was "ALIVE!" when they found them. (sadly, a miner story following that incident did not have the happy ending.  Lord have mercy, memory eternal!).
Question a friend, perhaps he did not do it; but if he did anything so that he may do it no more.
A hasty quarrel kindles fire,
and urgent strife sheds blood.
If you blow on a spark, it will glow;
if you spit on it, it will be put out;
                           and both come out of your mouth

I just came across this video which shows the plane seconds after landing, as well as the plane splashing into the Hudson at (approximately) 0:37, 0:51, and 1:20 into the video.

Glory to God!
