Mods, PLEASE start a thread where users can post definitions and/or acronymns of everything they're talking about and definitions of uncommon words (e.g. ecclesial, ontological, ROCiE, ROCA, etc.). This would be a thread that would always stay on top - in whatever forum it is placed in. Look at the below link for an example. You can get rid of the llama on your avatar by going to "edit profile" and selecting a different image from the drop down list, or linking to an image you have found stored online.
As far as a glossary goes, that is a wonderful idea! We can post it as an html file at first and then using php and mysql make a database dictionary.

OCA: Orthodox Church in America
GOARCH: Greek Orthodox Archdiocese
HOCNA: Holy Orthodox Church in North America
SCOBA: Standing Conference of Canonical Orthodox Bishops in America
Antiochian: Member of Patriarchate of Antioch
MP: Moscow Patriarchate
GOC: Genuine Orthodox Church of Greece (usually refers to a Matthewite Synod)
TOC: True Orthodox Church of Greece (refers usually to the Florinite Synod)
Old Calendarist:
1) One who follows the Julian (Church) Calendar
2) One who follows the Julian Calendar and belongs to a Church not recognizing those who follow the Gregorian Calendar.
Old Believer: Members of a 17th century breakaway movement in the Russian Orthodox Church over changes in liturgical discipline.
EP: Ecumenical Patriarchate.

Good idea to have a glossary for the acronyms and 'puter short-hands. I was familiar enough with most of the ones for both canonical and schismatic Orthodox groups, but I kept forgetting what "ISTM" means, and Serge uses that a lot.  Oh, another canonical Orthodox jurisdiction: UOC(of)USA=Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA (under the EP). And Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate (canonical)=UOC-MP,and Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Kiev (or Kyiv) Patriarchate (uncanonical)=UOC-KP. If we keep getting Anglican postings, then (P)ECUCA=(Protestant) Episcopal Church of the USA should be there too. And perhaps the UGCC=Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church also.
