I am currently teaching my kids how to use the computer to print out colouring pages. So far they have mostly been printing things from lego.com but I thought it would be a great idea to have them print out pictures of Jesus and the saints. Alas my web-fu is weak. I have been unable to locate line drawings of classic icons. Can anyone here help me? I'm mostly interested in Jesus, Virgin Mary, St Nikolaos and St Georgios. If you could help me I would post 7 (yes, seven) of these smileys " ", in your honour.

I used to have such a book, and I'll try to find it and scan or maybe it's on the Internet.

Get ready to post. The Antiochian Gospel Program has great line drawings for coloring; my three year-old and I discuss what the gospel's going to be every Sunday morning while she eats her breakfast. Click on the Sunday you want (my OCA church was off a Sunday for a while because of certain Sunday feastdays, but it lines up pretty well), and scroll down to page two of the pdf. Also, the OCA Dept. of Education has some good clip art resources that can be done in grayscale and over 300 line drawings in their line drawing archive, courtesy of Fr. John Matusiak.

This page has some lessons on it with coloring pages from feast days and events in the liturgy. Another for St. Nicholas specifically. There are several for sale as a coloring book, also. I like this idea!

The Greek Orthodox Website @ www.goarch.org has a great children's website that prints color pages of icons, allows the child to computer paint an icon, games, and more on it. My grandchildren love it. Their Lutheran grandmother has even downloaded it on her computer as a favorite site so they can use it in her home when they visit. Try it, I think they will like it. 12 major Feastsicons of TheothokosSorry for bad quality but I'm as a bad in taking pictures as in photos processing. Maybe someone of the Mebers would like to make them look better. Erm, there isn't Nativity of Holy Mary because it was coloured by me about 11 years ago Now I'm wondering why the faces and halos of the St. Anne and other people are painted in blue ....
