Saint Cyriacus (Kyriakos)
« on: December 10, 2008, 08:45:50 AM »
Hello,

I am looking for information on Saint Cyriacus the Anchorite -- feast day September 29 (Gregorian Calendar). I have the brief biographical sketch from the Menaion, and some information from wikipedia (for whatever that is worth) -- but any additional information would be appreciated.
Through the intercession of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, may Jesus Christ bless you abundantly.

Pray that we may be one, as Christ and His Father are one. (John 17:20ff)

Fwiw, the book The Lives of the Saints of the Holy Land and the Sinai Desert has a section on him. I'm afraid that's all the help I can give though, sorry!
"I, Lucian, wrote this, I who am skilled in what is old and foolish; For what men think wise is foolish. So then nothing that the mind of man can conceive is certain; What you admire, seems ridiculous to others." - St. Lucian of Antioch
