Dear folks,

Could someone provide a link to the text, or the text itself? I am particularly interested in the part where St.Basil the Great talks about the expressions about God, where God is said to have hands, feet, eyes etc., and where the author goes on to explain that these expressions are figurative. The thing is, in the Russian translation that I have, the text runs in such a way that it implies that *ONLY* the mortal, corruptible human body after the Fall has outward features, while both God and the transformed resurrected human body have no outward features (i.e., are both invisible and not limited in space and time).

Thank you!

I would like to re-formulate my question based on the exchange with Minasoliman here, http://www.orthodoxchristianity.net/forum/index.php?topic=18426.msg270876;topicseen#msg270876

Could the learned people provide help, please? Thanks!

Dear Heorhij,
the Hexaemeron of st Basil the Great is composed of 9 homilies. The rest homilies (attributed to him) are pseudepigrapha.
The 9 homilies, in the original Greek, can be found here:
Homily 1-"In the beginning, God created heaven and earth"
Homily 2-"On the invisibility and unconstructibility of the earth"
Homily 3-"On welkin"
Homily 4-"On the drawing of the waters"
Homily 5-"On the earth sprouting vegetation"
Homily 6-"On the birth of the stars"
Homily 7-"On serpents"
Homily 8-"On birds and water beings"
Homily 9-"On land beings"
