Last night, there was a fire in the Holy Transfiguration church on the territory of the famous Vydubyts'kyj monastery in Kyiv, Ukraine.

There are signs of forced entry (door lock broken). The monks suspect foul play. There are rumors in the monastery and in the city that it could have been an arson committed by members of a Satanic cult celebrating Halloween.

The fire was quenched by 10 a.m. (local time) November 1. A criminal investigation has started.

Sad I'm sorry to hear about that! Lord have mercy, and may the perpetrators repent and through this, come to new life in Christ.

Lord have mercy, both on the monks, and on those who perpetrated the crime.
