Dear brethren, I'm experiencing one of the most terrible moments in my life... a great woman - the mother of my ex-girlfriend and of a child I used to help with homeworks and whom I greatly love as if he were my son - has just died tonight leaving for a better life her husband and four children after a one-year long fight against a cancer which stopped her terrestrial life at 47. Please pray for the bliss of her soul (which I'm sure she'll soon reach) and for the Holy Spirit to strenghten her family in this time of mourning. I also recommand you to pray for me to be a valid instrument of consolation to all of them in this time of sorrow. I'll begin with my little, personal prayer.
Omnipotent God, who so much loved us to accept the sacrifice of your own Son: you alone know what the family of your beloved daughter Elena is experiencing after her bodily death. Her husband Piero and her four children Laura, Luca, Liliana and Lisa are mourning her loss. She was a great and strong woman who left to me a great joy for life and who gave her entire life to raise her family. Please, God Almighty, remember her soul in the time of her Judgment, so that we may rejoice with her the gifts of life eternal in the world to come; and grant consolation to us who feel her loss.
