Not really a surprise, but I wonder if the patients are charged for these "medications".

Well, most people who go to the doctor demand medication, and if all they have is a sniffle, they don't need medication. If the doctor does not give them medication, the patient sues the doctor for refusing treatment. So the doctors give them something that will do nothing. Perfectly logical.

Maybe doctors are being fed up with not being paid due to managed care; hence, they give patients "nothing."

Another possibility - FOXNews is implicitly telling people to not go to doctors because they won't be treated properly.

So, on one hand, people are encouraged to visit the doctor for "flu shots", "cancer screenings" and other things only to be told that their "treatment" is a sham....
