Hello!
I'm sorry, but I need your help.
A few years ago, I contracted a Lumbar hernia. Because of it and because I am an introvert and I felt very lonely and had a depressive mood, I started to have panic attacks and some of them were pretty bad. I had a surgery done and my back was better, but the panic attacks got worse and more frequent. At one point I had 3-4 major panic attacks a week, a few "minor" every day and a constant anxiety.
With God's help, I got much, much better, but the anxiety still came from time to time.

I had a panic attack a few weeks ago. I had an exam the next day and was home alone. I now live in the city with a friend and he was out. I felt better after the exam, but this weekend I started feeling the anxiety again.
It's partly because I am an introvert and because of my fears. Every small concern may become a huge fear.
I feel ok right now, but an hour ago the anxiety was there.
I wanted to speak with my SF last night, but he wasn't at the church, so I spoke with the other priest.
Many people have long term sufferings and I know I should be more pacient, but I'm afraid it will become worse to the point with many panic attacks.
I want this to end and I will speak with my SF the next time I see him.
But I need the help of your prayers. I need it and also my family needs it. They are all the sensitive type and I should be the one to give them  confort and support.
Please pray for me, Marius, for my father, Alexandru, who is ill, Georgiana, Maria and my whole family.
Thank you so much!

Lord, have mercy on your servants.

Have you spoken to a doctor about the recurring panic attacks? There could be a medical explanation.

Thank you!

Back then, when I first had them, I saw a psychologist. It helped, but also found out that he was envolved with paranormal things and stopped going. I think it's more a psychological problem than a physiological one. But I am open to suggestions.
Thank you again!

Holy Father Patrick, thank you for your help!

Lord have mercy!

Is there another counselor that could help you work with the panic attacks? If the first one helped some but then was involved in some questionable activities, perhaps another one who does not share these same interests would also help you.

Lord Have Mercy.

When you have attacks, try to read the bible, this calms me down when I worry. Of course, pray.

However I agree, if you can, please reach out to a specialist whether medical and or psychologist.

You are in our prayers.

Please remember that even in your time of constant panic, the Lord God is always near you. He is the one who formed you and he is the only one who knows your trouble and suffering than anyone else. Therefore, take comfort in the thought the One who bore pain onto himself is there with you in your time of pain and suffering as well. Let this psalm be a form of comfort to you:

Psalm 139 (vs 7-18):

"Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?

If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths,
you are there.
If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.

If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me
and the light become night around me,"
even the darkness will not be dark to you;
that night will shine like the day,
for darkness is as light to you.

I praise you, because i am fearfully
and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you
when I was hidden in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,
your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the daysordained for me
were written in your book
before one of them came to be.

How precious to me are your thoughts, O God?
How vast is the sum of them!
Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand.
When I awake,
I am still with you."

Lord Have Mercy

Thank you, all! You are very kind!
I feel much better today and it is probably because of your prayers. I will see how I feel in the near future and if things will turn bad again, I'll definatelly look for a new therapist.
Thank you, again!

May everyone who suffer be comforted!

Thank you!

I felt bad last week and today and I had a panic attack on Thursday. I prayed at the relics of Hieromartyr Cyprian of Nicomedia today and I feel good right now. I'll see how things go this week and I'll search for a counselor next week.
Thank you and God bless you!
