Any scouts there from the Dodgers or Angels?

I thought this was going to be a joke, like JP II's image being superimposed on some professional ball player.  I'm glad I was wrong.

Wait, I'm confused.  Is this really the Pope?

Nope---it's an impersonator. There are tell-tale signs---his raiment is a little off, and those "priests" watching him are not properly dressed (what's with the turtleneck "collars"?).

The man bears a pretty good resemblance to the late Holy Father.

John Paul was such an accomplished athlete that I wouldn't put it past him, though!

Was His Holiness also a lefty?  ;)

Nope. So the video clearly shows him to be a switch hitter (I mean that in the BASEBALL sense).  ;)

I actually thought it was the real deal though I was wondering where all the security was.  Should have known better.

Still, the late pontiff was known as an athlete--I wouldn't put it past him to maybe go a few rounds in the batting cages!
