Need Akathist urgently!
« on: September 19, 2003, 12:17:30 AM »
Does anyone have the text for the akathist to our Lady of Pochaev, or for St. Alexis Toth? I need this urgently, but can't find it in my prayer books or online.

Thanks!

Bobby

Bobby, I could not find either of those, but I do have a pdf of the Akathist to St. Herman of Alaska who, as you know, is known as an intercessor for rescue from natural diasters.  I am emailing it now to your OC.net email address.

Bobby, portions of the Akathist to Our Lady of Pochaev were published monthly this year on my parish's annual liturgical calendar.  I think the original came from St. Tikhon's Monastery.  Since St. Tikhon's also has the major relics of St. Alexis Toth and was where his Glorification took place, they most likely also have copies of the Akathist to St. Alexis.

The Akathist to St Alexis Toth is in the book listed on the bottom of this page. I don't know what the delivery time is on orders.
