My dad Terry is a Disciples of Christ minister, and after church today we'd decided to take a bunch of limbs to the property of a guy at our church to burn (decided to do it before I go back to school in a couple weeks).
Me and dad were unloading the limbs when one (about 2 to 2.5 inches thick) came loose and hit him in the head. Didn't knock him out, but really rattled his brains (his words) and he's got 7 stitches and his eyes almost swollen shut.
We normally wouldn't ask for prayers, but I thought he might need them especially since he got a call about 8:00pm, a woman from their church was dying. So my mother took my dad out there, got there and within 2 minutes of him holding her hand and talking to her she passed away.
As my dad told the doctor, he probably won't ever retire because a ministers job never ends... My dad is a really great guy and will go to see anyone regardless of denomination/branch or even his own physical condition.
He even visited and talked to the parents of my Priest when my Priest's dad was in the hospital near us a month ago.
He just needs prayers right now, he is always strong, but clergy could always use our prayers, even if they aren't Orthodox.
