Roman Catholics and Oriental Orthodox
« on: August 09, 2008, 02:10:43 PM »
What do Oriental Orthodox believe about purgatory, original sin, or immaculate conception? Also, is their hierarchical organization more similar to the Roman Catholic or Eastern Orthodox? Sorry if this has already been discussed.

Sorry! I've just noticed someone already created a thread like this, so never mind!

The OO's are like the EO's on these issues.  It's one of the reasons why a lot of people are pushing for union between the OO's and EO's.  Our Christological language may be different, but we really hold the same beliefs.
