This is an interesting video clip of a Daoist liturgy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JyCOzjvU8yI
The vestments and ritual actions are very beautiful in my opinion. It's interesting thinking about the possibility of an "East Asian rite" Orthodox Liturgy.

About the only thing in the clip that looks Orthodox is the priest's outer garment which vaguely resembles a phelonion. The ceremony in the clip is pretty and interesting, but any resemblance to Orthodoxy simply isn't there.

The Middle East is "West Asian": go west young man, God told Abraham.

The vestments are so rich and colourful! What is the main priest holding in his hand, I wonder? Huh

Yes ,there are many daoist elements coincidental to something in Orthodxy.
For example: in some solemn service of Quan-zhen daoism(全真道)the three chief celebrants wear Golden(colour of the Father),red (the Son),green(the Spirit) outer vestments in rank.

In this clip, the priest offers incense in the censer, then recessive to his "bow place" make prostration.

The piece of wood he holds is a 笏(hu),it's a chinese counterpart of diptycha. In the ancientry, minister used them as a notebook when they answered the emperor.Later,it became a pure ritual stuff,be used in royal ceremony, cufucian rite and daoist rite.

Interesting to see because many of the elements in the Orthodox liturgy came from practices in the Byzantine Empire towards the emperor.
