What happened? I couldn't access OC.net (to include this forum) all morning. My attempted connections kept timing out.

We were down on 7/24 then during an upgrade 7/25 the server crashed. We asked for a reprovision of the server, which took them *three* days. Then after that, they did it wrong! So we had to wait another 2 days. It's up now. We lost one day of posts from 7/24 to 7/25. Sorry about that.

It wouldn't recognize "Orual" and claimed the name didn't exist. I was able to log in because I thought of using the username that used to be on my account and for whatever strange reason it worked.

While I almost went nuts in a fight with Mormons, I was able to talk with Orthodox on Desert Calling. Now I can participate in BOTH forums! It was ok though, it allowed me more time to finish The Orthodox Church by Bishop Kallistos Ware.

You have to log in with your username, not your display name--you must have not logged in from the time we changed your display name. But your underlying username is not changed. So for instance my original username was anastasios but it displays as Fr Anastasios now--I still log in as anastasios though.
I didn't realize it, but now that you mention it, I think you're right - it had been so long since I had actually had to log in, I could barely remember my password. Thanks for the info.

I thought the forum looked oddly different, myself - but I think it's because some of the options in the top bar are missing, and few people have re-uploaded their avatars so those are missing too.

So it wasn't just me locked out for a month? Good. Not that I enjoy being on "warned" status or anything, but did that get deleted by the reset also? Or am I a good little girl that no longer is in time out? Not asking for the warning status to come back, just pointing out that I was on that status before the site went down on the 23rd, and now I am not.

IIRC, the 'Donation' link or something like that, and your main site orthodoxchristianity.net (not the forum) where all your content and articles are.

Oh those are just links we have to put back. The front site is toast and I have to rebuild that from scratch, which is fine, because I was going to upgrade it anyway. I have all the articles backed up. Photos, I am checking on (sorry, admiralnick!)

Something is making this site crash at 1045 pm to midnight several times so far. The fix is easy but we are trying to find out what is making it happen and not restart the process like is what is supposed to happen.
I was not able to catch it since last night was the Dormition Vigil then I went to bed. I am going to give someone else the ability to run the fix in the meantime in case I am not on when it happens.
Sorry for any inconvenience.
