I had a hard time logging in. The system didn't want to recognize my name for some reason.
We changed the cookies (what makes the site recognize your computer). This happens whenever we completely redo the database.
It was a nice break; thanks!
It wouldn't recognize "Orual" and claimed the name didn't exist. I was able to log in because I thought of using the username that used to be on my account and for whatever strange reason it worked.
Appears that the site looks a bit different as well now. Is this permanent? (Such as portal link, bank, etc.)Are avatars history, again?
It is a good thing to have this site back up! I was missing all of my e-friends!Thank you, FrA and Robert!
Pardon me Fr.chris who are you ,,i don't remember you on This forum...Are you the same one that's on Byzantine catholic forum as a moderator ....?? what a couple of week'soffline will do i can't remember you...sorryБлагослови господе православни народ твој , имена твога ради...амин
News: Feel like having a polemical debate? PM Fr. Chris for access to OC.net's exclusive private forum area to engage in such discussion.
You have to log in with your username, not your display name--you must have not logged in from the time we changed your display name. But your underlying username is not changed. So for instance my original username was anastasios but it displays as Fr Anastasios now--I still log in as anastasios though.
How does it look different? I installed the same forum software. What do you mean by portal link and bank?
IIRC, the 'Donation' link or something like that, and your main site orthodoxchristianity.net (not the forum) where all your content and articles are.
So it wasn't just me locked out for a month? Good. Not that I enjoy being on "warned" status or anything, but did that get deleted by the reset also? Or am I a good little girl that no longer is in time out? Not asking for the warning status to come back, just pointing out that I was on that status before the site went down on the 23rd, and now I am not.

I also cannot upload a new avatar image for my profile since the crash.
^Mr. Y and I use Firefox and sometimes it is slow to display the new avatars. It may just be your browser.
I'm using Opera 9.52 and I cannot see anyone's avatar although that saves bandwidth on my dial-up connection, lol.
