EXTERMINATE!

« on: July 01, 2008, 02:11:07 AM »

My moderator teammates want me to lay low for a few days and not concern myself with what's going on here, so I want to honor their request.  I just figured I'd log on just long enough, though, to request your prayers for my recuperation from a gallbladder removal surgery I underwent Sunday afternoon.  I was released from the hospital about 12 hours ago, am recovering at home, and am still a bit sore.  Otherwise, my operation was successful and my recuperation is right on schedule.  With that said, I'm going to log off and let my teammates watch the Faith board for me.

Prayers for your fast recovery

And *do* what the doctor tells you to do.  Take the pain meds if they gave you any. DON'T try to 'tough it out'.  That can cause stress in the area. (I write from experience with a different kind of surgery)

Thanks be to God, the modern technology behind laparoscopic operations, and the sedentary nature of my job as a software QA engineer, I was able to return to work today. Smiley  Thank you all for your prayers and for continuing to pray for my continued healing over the next few weeks.
