The "Fond du Lac Circus"
« on: June 05, 2008, 11:24:28 PM »
Just so we don't have to keep going over this:

here's a picture of St. Tikhon at the consecration of Reginald Weller as Bishop Coadjutor of the Episcopal Diocese of Fond du Lac:

No he didn't participate in the laying on of hands. The fellow on the far left is a Polish National Catholic bishops; the third fellow from the right in the back row is St. John (Kochurov) of Chicago.

This is also, as far as anyone knows, the first photograph of Episcopal bishops in copes and miters.

I love Fondue.

It doesn't take a lot of fondue before all that Gruyère starts to sit in your stomach like a brick though.  #10 looks like he may have overdone it a little; but when there's fondue, it is hard to control yourself.

I love Fondy.

We just had a Fondue Festival last year and broke the record for The World's Biggest Fondue: http://www.fatchancemedia.com/2007/09/fond-du-lac-fondue-fest-countdown.html

St. Tikhon came here?  Cool....

Aside from Fondue, what's the point of putting up the picture?

Is this diary available in English translation so that the context of the above quote can be read, please?

Thank you in advance.

Wow! I also live in Fond Du Lac and I had no idea. Granted I have only been here since October of last year, but still, wow!
