A little while back I applied for an inter-faculty transfer and programme transfer (related programmes, but different specialisation) from the Faculty of Arts (Computer Science [Information Systems]) to the Faculty of Science and Engineering (Computer Security). Since the Computer Security programme is an Honours Specialist programme, I will have to appear before a committee to not only plead my case but code various programmes in a 'pseudo-language' to display a sufficently logical mindset. This meeting will also determine the amount of advanced standing credits I can receive for courses I don't have transferable credits for, basing it solely on knowledge I have gained on my own. My meeting is early Friday morning, so please keep me in your prayers for these next few days. I will be pouring over past text books, online tutorials, etc. I should hear back from them by mid-July but with the programme only admitting roughly 50 people (the university I attend has over 40000 undergrads, so it is a very tiny programme), it will be a battle.
