I would greatly appreciate your prayers for myself and my family. My father is recovering from colon cancer and is having a hard time with the aftermath of the operation and getting his strength back. He is cancer free, but is having trouble accepting this as a blessing. Recently, my cousin was admitted into Alcoholics Anonymous after his second DUI. My wife and I are trying to adopt a child after being told I'm infertile a few years back. And finally, I lost my job about a month back. It seems that I am being stuck in a situation for whatever reason, please pray for that I may have my heart opened to whatever it is God wants me to do or go.

But most of all, I would appreciate your prayers for my sins, my inability to pray consistently and with a clear mind;to be thankful, and my waivering faith. My family needs me.

Thanks in advance.

Excellence of character, then, is a state concerned with choice, lying in a mean relative to us, this being determined by reason and in the way in which the man of practical wisdom would determine it. Now it is a mean between two vices, that which depends on excess and that which depends on defect.
