Online Copy of the Pentecostarion?
« on: May 05, 2008, 11:28:51 PM »
Does anyone know where I can find an online copy of the Pentecostarion (English translation) with hymns for every day of the Paschal season?  I tried doing a Google search but found nothing I could use.  (Too bad the hard copy from Holy Transfiguration Monastery is still out of print. :()

That is a difficult search. I found this: http://www.anastasis.org.uk/pentecos.htm

Although I prefer the more reverent language using thee, thou, thy, hast, didst, etc.

... and the Anastasis website doesn't have the full Pentecostarion on it.  But it's still a good resource.
"If you are going to serve the Lord, be prepared for times when you will be put to the test. Be sincere and determined. Keep calm when trouble comes. Stay with the Lord; never abandon Him and you will be prosperous at the end of your days. Accept whatever happens to you. Even if you suffer humiliation, be patient. Gold is tested by fire and human character is tested in the furnace of humiliation. Trust the Lord and He will help you. Walk straight in His ways and put your hope in Him. " Sir 2:1-6

They are redoing it extensively I hear which is why it is taking so long.

Past posts reflect stages of my life before my baptism and may not be accurate expositions of Orthodox teaching. Also, I served as an Orthodox priest from 2008-2013, before resigning.

If they're doing it like they did the Menaia - woo-hoo!
