Mother in law
« on: April 21, 2008, 04:30:10 PM »
Brothers and sisters,

Please remember in your prayers my mother-in-law PAULA who had a "small" heart attack this weekend and is apparently in danger of another one.  They're going up through her leg tomorrow to have a looksee at her heart.

Thank you.

Thank you all for your prayers.  She is doing much better.

They admitted her to the Cardiac Care Unit last night and did a cardiac catheter which found a blockage in one of her arteries which they cleared.  When we went to visit her afterwards, she was her old and cantankerous self, telling my wife that I had to stay in the waiting room because "Michael doesn't need to see me like this" ("Vanity, thy name is Paula! " was my immediate and jocular response) and she was already quizzing my wife on her hair color (which hasn't changed since the last time we saw them on Saturday night!) and yelling at the doctors.

She'll be all right :)

Glory to Thee, O God, glory to Thee!

Glory to God.  May He continue to have mercy on her.

O Christ, Who alone art our Defender: Visit and heal Thy suffering servant Paula, delivering her from sickness and grievous pains. Raise her up that she may sing to Thee and praise Thee without ceasing, through the prayers of the Theotokos, O Thou Who alone lovest mankind.

(prayers for continued healing)
