Peace all,

A Baptist I know sent an email around this morning to pray for his sister who is dying from cancer yet confident about her eternal fate.

Perhaps we might pray for her slightly differently to how others do.

The lady apparently has a family and wishes to see one graduate this year first.

Thanks all.

...because I was not with you when the Lord came aforetime.
...because I am blind and yet I see.

Lord have mercy on your servants.

Lord have mercy.

Κύριε ἐλέησον

Excellence of character, then, is a state concerned with choice, lying in a mean relative to us, this being determined by reason and in the way in which the man of practical wisdom would determine it. Now it is a mean between two vices, that which depends on excess and that which depends on defect.

An old timer is a man who's had a lot of interesting experiences -- some of them true.

Grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway, the good fortune to run into the ones I do, and the eyesight to tell the difference.
