Please pray for me - had a check up today and my blood pressure was 168/108 - which apparently is pretty high. Now for a whole swag of tests! Prayers are appreciated.

Lord, have mercy! Yes, the numbers are high. Did you check it more than once? Sometimes people are just stressed, you know... always a good idea to come back and measure blood pressure again.

Heorhij - my first test about 6 mths ago was 155/105, last week was 165/108, then 168/108. My Mrs has put the foot down (AGAIN!!!) and my diet is now totally different, and my food intake is a bit lower, so too the grog (alcohol). I have dropped 6 kg (approx 3lb) the past month and the Dr says drop another 8 kg (approx 4lb). So here we go!!
I do appreciate your prayers though - yes we are very stressed at the moment - more later !!

Excellent. 6 kg is actually ~13.2 lbs, and 8 kg is ~17.6 lbs. (One pound equals ~0.454 kg). Abstaining from alcohol when you have high blood pressure is a VERY GOOD idea. I know it all too well, been there myself.  Praying for you! |
