I think we should lower the number of posts needed to leave "newbie" and become a "jr member" as i note that some long-time posters like "the slave" are still "newbies" it appears even though they've been here for a month. We would keep the other categories the same. What do you all think?

How many posts do you need to graduate from "Newbie" to "Jr. Member"?

sorry, Slave, it appears that it is a bug that makes your color appear as newbie, but your status is still member. My fault for not further investigating. Don't panic--you will NOT lose your status! anastasios

I don't think anyone has a lower posting rate than me, when you calculate the number of posts versus the length of time I've registered as a member.
The only person I can blame for this situation is myself--many times I've thought about posting, but I am lazy plus others say what I'm thinking much better than I can write such things.
Therefore, I say we keep the ratings the way they are. Through my laziness I have 'earned' my newbie rating, and I should be known by it to all those gathered here.
However, perhaps everyone will join me in celebration when I finally graduate to the next level!

Make the member levels based on the amount of time one has been registered. Or just do away with them all together and "welcome the last as the first..." Just some suggestions that popped into my mind.

A good question, I have never understood user levels, because no one makes them known. Nilus
