Tonight I was talking to a friend who made reference to a Canon of St. Peter. I can't find anything about it on Google. Can someone provide me with more info about this?

Does anyone really care what you think?

Perhaps some more context would help facilitate an answer. Is it the canon from the menaion for St. Peter? Could he have been calling something the Canon of St. Peter and just saying the wrong name?

I've heard people refer to both the Epistles of Saint Peter and the Acts of Peter as the "Canon of Saint Peter".

He was probably referring to the canon (i.e. anaphora) of the western mass, which is traditionally held to have been composed by St. Peter.

There is the Gospel of St Peter that was discovered in the late 1800's but is clearly spurious.  I have an electronic copy if you like.

The next time I see my friend I will ask him to clarify. Thanks for the responses.

OK, I talked to him and this is what he said. Many (most?) great saints have a canon or akathist written for them, and it is proper to read it in front of the icon of the saint on his or her feast day.
