I should mention that it's also insanely wierd that someone else on an Orthodoxy board knows about Strongbad and Trogdar.

Phone rates are much more expensive in Greece my friend. They used to be flat rate (13 drachmes whether you talked 1 min or 1 hour) but the monopoly state run phone company quickly realised what a cash cow the Internet would be and they upgraded their equipment so they could charge per minute (I should be grateful, the phone system is much better now). Internet usage in Greece has actually been dropping whereas the rest of the world has been steadily increasing. That's how much it hits the hip pocket nerve. I looked into getting a 64K leased line for my work a few years ago and it cost slightly more than a T1 line in the USA which is around twenty times faster. Now you understand my pain John.

a 10 minute download!? I dont know why you even bother. I've been spoiled with the University T3 connection, so download times don't really exist anymore. I don't know what I'm gonna do when I have to go to DSL or even, gasp, a modem again when I move outta this place.

Having used everything from an 800 baud modem (in 1986) to an OC12 connection, it is a bit painful to be stuck using a 28.8kb/s modem connection. However, hopefully I will be moving to a different part of town soon and will have either cable or DSL. I'm very much looking forward to that.

Try the 7th main page. Have your cursor float over "Characters".
Bobby, an excellent page. I've tried looking for sites like this a long while. If you can dig up more U.R.L.'s, tell us when you hit something.

Judging by your anime icon, I will have to assume you've already found the anime page on that site.

Thanks, Bob. A good stash. To be clearer, I enjoy Flash ingenuity, witty cartoons and the like. Folks like Joe Cartoon, but less juvenile and more tamed down (the level of violence is just fine and dandy; it's the unnecessary barrage of lewd references that turns me off), the kind of site that doesn't cross too many limits on obscenity, but isn't G rated either. In Arabic? Ha. Let me see if I can put this into a small summary. The additions to our extraterrestrial lexicon derive solely from 70's anime flicks like Grendizer (our pre-adolescents are probably the biggest consumer market for anime on the planet; we're probably the only ones who retain the Japanese names). Reading this stuff in its Arabic version sounds just like a silly plot synopsis from one of those shows. Great for laughs indeed. But I'm got something more bizzare: http://www.jediism.org/Yep, got that from Serge's web corner. Those times.......well, what a world back then. In IC XC Samer

My one big complaint about the Homestar site is the lack of subtitles. Some of these characters are difficult to understand.
