He hangeth earth upon nothing (Job 26:7)

« on: October 29, 2011, 08:05:46 AM »

Don't die and open your eyes in Hell! It exist whether you believe it or not!
Bill Wiese saw the searing flames of hell, felt total isolation, and experienced the putrid and rotting stench, deafening screams of agony, terrorizing demons, and finally, the strong hand of God lifting him out of the pit.

There is an old saying; "It's better to believe and be safe, rather than to not believe and be damned for all eternity! For those who don't believe in Hell, your disbelief of it doesn't change the fact that God says; Hell is real! (text copied from the second link below)

Bill Wiese, probably a protestant Christian, tells about his experience of being in hell. In my opinion his experience of hell clearly seems to be identical with those of some Orthodox Christians who experienced it during a clinical death too (as I read it in one book). Please do not fall into despondency watching the movie, the hell is not the only thing that Mr Wiese saw.

Keep your mind in hell and do not despair

I still can't figure this out. Dose the orthodox church teach that hell is a actual place with flames and all that or is it just the agony you feel when you have rejected God?

I believe that we've not quite figured it out either, and that we're unlikely to ever entirely understand its mystery.

From my understanding, Ansgar, it's a state of being in the presence of God's love. We either experience that presence as heaven (ecstacy) or hell (agony). I'm supposing that this is a temporary state until all things are settled and there is the renewal of heaven and earth and we live eternally in our resurrected bodies?   Huh

Perhaps if we do not ever have it figured out, it is O. K.  I know none of us want to head there.

First of all, I doubt that you are destined for hell. Secondly, if you do somehow find yourself in hell, please refrain from contacting me.   Wink

interesting you would say that, because listening to the priest singing the Lord's prayer :  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QqLZr11JhMM&feature=related  , and this version also  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pKBtb3zZhOE&feature=related   and of course  this prayer of the Salutation,  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vpMM9ZuRkKs&feature=related   and what you already posted brings me great comfort each time i listen to them.
