Right now, food shortage is causing panic amongst the people, rice is getting expensive BY THE DAY, and people have absolutely no trust in the government. My father who manages a rice farm and a fishpond is also greatly affected by the crisis. Political instability is being wrought out by other so called "heroes" in the government, CLAIMING to solve the people's worries by trying to overthrow the present leader (i don't believe that's the solution).. Also, we are given false promises of an economy that is going to thrive this year. People are losing hope, and probably chaos will spring out again!!  Please Pray for us Filipinos, that God may have Mercy on our country, that the Holy Spirit will guide our political leaders so as not to put in their pockets the money of the people, and that may he keep us persevering despite our sufferings.. Lord have Mercy on us! |

Lord have mercy. Is there an agency we can support that is dedicated to helping those who are seriously affected by this political turmoil? Red Cross, or something?

I don't know, but I think aside from the Red Cross, there is also the Rotary Club.. (This Im not sure of) Thanks so much for your prayers! |

I know World Vision helps out over there, because our sponsored child lives there. My husband also has/had two Filipino uncles, so it has a family connection for me. Prayers going up!
