I thought they were nice....the larger ones i like better....sad that stuff like this would annoy anybody.. tells alot about a person .i haven't used them much till yesterday...my adaware keeps cleaning them out treating them like a infection....so i re -installed them periotically.....stasko/stanislav..................  |

I don't really have a problem with them, but I do think they tend to make the eye gravitate toward them and can be a little distracting to the post itself. For me, it's not so much the size as the animation.

I was tempted by #1...but my freedom of speech ideals forced me to go with #2 my adaware keeps cleaning them out treating them like a infection....
There's a good reason for that. |

I do not believe that the intent of anyone in this tread was to make fun of Stanislav's person but rather to poke at the expressive emoticons. Some people seem to find them too boisterous but I do not believe that the intent was to make fun of him personally.
Since Stanislav seems to have taken this thread personally, this thread will be closed. Sorry Stanislav for hurting your feelings.

Since I created the poll I wanted to publicly apologize to Stanislav, my intention was to not to make fun of anyone and I did not put anyones name in the poll in order not to single any one person out. I had noticed the large icons being used only recently (within the past year) and since I often check this site on my phone they were personally annoying to me. My purpose in the poll therefore was to see if I was being super sensitive about the situation or if my views were being shared by others. At no time was I trying to single out Stanislav or make fun of him personally.
Please accept my apologies if I offended anyone by posting this poll.
