Please keep me in your prayers. I'm just now getting over some kind of stomach illness which began last Wednesday. Without getting into much graphic detail . . . I lost 11 pounds the first 2 days, (I didn't know that I could multi-task so well ). I was on a liquid diet over the weekend, and didn't start eating lite meals until yesterday. Although I was in touch by phone with the doctor's nurse the whole time, I was finally able to get to the office for a check up. They drew blood and are running all kinds of tests. They also set me up with a GI consult. Don't know what's going on but it's not fun. PB

I wanted to thank you all again for your prayers during my recent illness. After many tests and a visit to a GI specialist I found out that the 2 weeks that I was sick was due to a virus in my stomach. What they also found out was that I have fatty liver disease (steatosis). Basically it means that the enzyme level in my liver is high because I have too much fat in my liver. It's not able to break down fat like it should. In only 1% of the people that have it does fatty liver disease (steatosis) get dangerous. So I'm on a strict low fat diet and they also took me off all dairy products.
Again, thank you all for your prayers.

It's not much consolation to have an illness, but at least you know what it is and that it is manageable. Uncertainty about a diagnosis can lead to so much more stress. It's easier to deal with something when you can name it. God grant you improved health and the patience to endure a chronic illness.
