For anyone who knew Sonia Daly Belcher, the admissions director at Hellenic College Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, she fell asleep in the Lord suddenly yesterday evening from a brain aneurism. I just wanted to start this thread to let people know, and to ask everyone to pray for her soul, and for her husband, Dn. Nicholas, and her son, Andrew.
She was a young, beautiful, vibrant, loving person who devoted her life to serving the Lord in every way she knew how. She will be so greatly missed.
May her memory be eternal. May the Lord comfort and bless His servants Nicholas the deacon, and Andrew, in this difficult time. Lord have mercy.

May her memory be eternal! She, and her young family, are most certainly in my prayers.
I heard the news earlier this morning, as soon as I came into the office, but wasn't sure if such a thing could actually be true! Truly a shocking event, and cause for much prayer.
I wonder where we can send condolences and memorial gifts.

I too was shocked, and have been pleasantly surprised by the volume of phone calls and text messages I've gotten from people within the HC/HC family, all who are trying to spread the word and increase the number of prayers for her.
She was a truly vibrant woman committed to Orthodoxy and to helping form the leadership of the Church (both clergy and laity). Her dedication and vision have brought good and forward-thinking programs to the school. She was a wonderful person.
Memory eternal, and may the Lord have mercy on her family, that they find peace, support, and love in this trying time.

Eternal be her memory! May the Lord place her where there is no suffering, sighing, or sorrow.
Like so many others, the HCHC grapevine also let me know of this. My prayers go to her spouse and child, that they may be comforted at this time.

What a tragedy! Absolutely shocking. I had just a couple of chances to talk to Sonia. She immediately created an impression of a really nice person. Indeed, she was very friendly.
Lord, have mercy. Dear Lord, please grant an eternal rest to your loyal and dedicated servant Sonia. Dear Lord, please also help Fr. Deacon Nicholas and Andrew.

I went to the wake at St. George's earlier today. It was incredible. People were coming and coming. The parish has a big parking lot. It was completely full all the time. There were lines of cars waiting for someone to took off. All surrounding streets were full of parked cars. But more importantly, all components of the wake inside were filled of respect and spirituality. She possessed a real Christian spirit and this spirit was dominant during her wake. So sad that so kind and talented person is no longer with us.
Jarhad Barham! Lord, have mercy! Kyrie Eleison! Hospody pomyluy!
May Sonia's memory be eternal.
Thank you very much for posting information here.
