Chasin' down a Hoodoo...

« on: February 12, 2008, 03:37:12 AM »

On behalf of myself and everyone else in Southern MO who are currently suffering from another ice storm, please pray that power will be restored and warmer weather will prevail.

Last year Greene county and most of Southwest MO was devestated by an ice storm that knocked out power for most of us from anywhere between 3 days to 2 weeks.  Many of our beautiful trees were damaged and the estimated cost is in the millions of dollars.  I cannot stress how horrible those two weeks were last year.  Now, we are in the middle of yet ANOTHER ice storm that has, once again, knocked out power for many of us.  Anything in the open has a half-inch of ice covering it; trees are bending, roads are treacherous, power lines are stretched and sagging...Ozarkians are a tough lot, but we're beginning to reach our limits.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE pray for us....

The picture you see was from last year BUT this is what most of my city is beginning to look like AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!

Lord have mercy!

Question a friend, perhaps he did not do it; but if he did anything so that he may do it no more.
A hasty quarrel kindles fire,
and urgent strife sheds blood.
If you blow on a spark, it will glow;
if you spit on it, it will be put out;
                           and both come out of your mouth

Lord have mercy on all Your servants who are suffering because of the weather.

Lord, have mercy!

Reminds me of Quebec, years ago.

As a result of a thousand million years of evolution, the universe is becoming conscious of itself, able to understand something of its past history and its possible future.
