Though it is late in day here, February 10th is the National Memorial Day of the Exiles and Foibe in Italy.  It is a day of memorial, grieving and mouning in Italy, especially for those who lost family and during this time.  My family lost family and friends between 1943 and 1946.  Please pray for those who were displaced, those who were killed, their loved one's who continue to mourn their loss, and also those who committed these acts.

It is a rather politically charged day that has led to a cooling of relations between Italy and Croatia in recent years, but please leave that out of this thread.

Signore, abbi pietà.

As a result of a thousand million years of evolution, the universe is becoming conscious of itself, able to understand something of its past history and its possible future.

Eternal be their memory.

Memory eternal.
