Hello Rosehip,
There are a lot of great books available. I have First Fruits of Prayer: A Forty-Day Journey Through the Canon of St. Andrew by Frederica Mathewes-Green. I would also like to get Fr. Alexander Schmemanns's book entitled Great Lent. I'm sure some of the other, more well-read, members can give you more titles...

Thanks for the recommendations, Gabriel! Yes, I like Ozgeorge's idea of a Lenten Book Club-when can we start? Any suggestions for a book to read? Maybe one of Gabriel's choices? What do ya'll think?

I enjoy reading Great Lent, but I must be the only person that didn't really like First Fruits of Prayer by FMG. I'm thinking of reading The Lament of Eve by Manley and/or Trials of Job by Reardon. |

I certainly can't recommend this as an Orthodox book for Lent, but I find Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings excellent Lenten reading.
