It's funny how one phone call can turn your life upside-down!
The mother of one of my God-Children, Tatiana, telephoned today and asked me if I would be Tatiana's Foster-Father until she was 18 years old (she is now 5). For reasons I don't want to go into, Tatiana is currently in Foster care, and there is a court case on Thursday to decide her permanent care until she is 18 years old. I have spoken with the welfare officers involved in the case, and they are coming to interview me, and present me in Court as their preferred option for Tatiana's permanent care. This would mean that Tatiana's mother could only have six supervised visits a year, and knowing this, she has begged me to take her child into my care. It was heart wrenching.
Please pray for Tatiana, for me and for her Mother.

Prayers my brother, for you, Tatiana, and her Mom and may God bless you abundantly for your willingness to accept this role, both the spiritual and the physical aspects of it
May Holy and Sainted Joseph, Patron of Foster-Fathers, intercede before the Throne of his own Foster-Child and ask a boon of Him, that you be accorded the wisdom, strength, and compassion so necessary to being a loving, caring, and responsible Dad and also that you be afforded a large measure of the resilience that is a particular requisite for those being Dad to a small princess
May Tatianna and her Mom be granted the strength and the wisdom to maintain their bonds of family and love in this difficult situation and over the many years ahead

You've shared with us pictures of Tatiana here on OC.net, iirc. I think Tatiana would truly be blessed by having you care for her as her foster father. I'm very certain she will know how much you love her!
