Sick family
« on: December 24, 2007, 07:28:57 PM »
My entire family is down with the flu. We are pretty sad and upset, since we were really looking forward to attending all the Vespers leading up to and the Divine Liturgy on Christmas day. But that isn't my prayer request.

My youngest daughter Witalu thus far has not caught the flu to a very large extent. She has some lessened appetite (not to abnormal for her though) and some gastrointestinal issues, but the full on "kneeling to the porcelin god" has not struck her at this point. She is a very tiny child to begin with. At 2.5 she weighs about 25lbs. right now. She looses weight every time she is sick. She just recovered from a bought of cox sackie a couple weeks ago, she lost altogether 3lbs while she had that. (which she had only regained a couple ounces of by now) Three pounds isn't much for an adult, but when that is almost 1/5 of your body weight it is a big deal. So I worry about her a great a deal. Exactly two years ago we nearly lost her to RSV. So this illness comes at a bad emotional time.

And myself, I haven't caught the full blow of flu just yet. But I can feel it coming. And as a nursing mom I have to make sure I stay hydrated so that our son has something to eat :laugh: So if you could pray that I can stay hydrated so I can still be the cafeteria, that would be wonderful.

Lord, have mercy.

Thank you all for your prayers. Right now Lulu is acting pretty normal. And she has a big appetite which is NOT typical for her. I am feeling pretty good right now too.

May you all have a blessed Chrismas.

Glory to God.

Christ is Born! Glorify Him!

If you blow on a spark, it will glow;
if you spit on it, it will be put out;

From one family of three to another, prayers for everyone's full recovery. (we've been there. Not often, but more then once)
