Old Testament Readings at Vespers
« on: December 03, 2007, 12:50:41 AM »
Old Testament Readings are prescribed for (Great) Vespers for commemorations of Saints that are third class and of course for Feasts of the Theotokos and Master.  Does anyone know what those are or where I can find the OT readings online, particularly for this coming Tuesday, the commemoration of St. John Damascene, my patron saint?  Thanks in advance.

Fr. Ephraim's Prophetologion is here:

Among 3rd Class Feasts only Vigil-rank Feasts have readings at Vespers, Polyeleos-rank Feasts do not.

Whoops scratch that, Polyeleos-rank Feasts do have readings but not all have proper readings and use readings from the common, which appears to be the case for St. John Damascene.
