Most Holy Theotokos, save us!

« on: June 03, 2003, 03:28:33 PM »

I was baptized in the Antiochian Orthodox Church at age 5.  My family didn't go to church that often, and as I grew older, we stopped going to church all together.  I am now 24.  Several months ago I made the decision to return to Christianity, but I joined a baptist church because I thought I would like the "contemporary" worship better than the Divine Liturgy. I was baptized again in the baptist church Now I realize that I made  huge mistake, and I am seeking re-admitance into the Orthodox Church.  What would I have to do in my situation?  I called the priest at the nearest Orthodox Church, but he hasn't gotten back to me yet.  I would appreciate your help.

Keep asking or ask another Orthodox priest - he'll receive you back, no problem.

Christ is Risen !

Welcome to OC.net and Glory to God for Him leading you back home.

I agree with Serge.  If you are willing, the only question is when and how, the priest can answer those questions.

Yes, or please welcome us on the various appointed dates if you've move onto the next life since 2003.  Nothing personal, but a lot can happen in six years. Or seven years, whatever, time doesn't exist in heaven anyway.

Welcome back!
Doing the job of Severian, eh? You do know that he's been back and now serving as a priest, right?

Didn't know he was a priest...  but yes I knew he was active.

No worries! I guess I just remember reading his blog when he was in seminary. He posts every once and again.
