Shout Box's Effect on Chess Board
« on: November 27, 2007, 12:16:47 AM »
Since the shout box came back, its appearance pushes the chess board down a click, but leaves the pieces unmoved, creating the illusion that the chess pieces are sitting on the borders between squares.  I've only seen this in my Firefox browser; everything still appears OK in MS IE7.

Interesting.  I can't believe that we actually have even one thing on this board that runs better on IE than the Fox... Is Outrage!
"If you are going to serve the Lord, be prepared for times when you will be put to the test. Be sincere and determined. Keep calm when trouble comes. Stay with the Lord; never abandon Him and you will be prosperous at the end of your days. Accept whatever happens to you. Even if you suffer humiliation, be patient. Gold is tested by fire and human character is tested in the furnace of humiliation. Trust the Lord and He will help you. Walk straight in His ways and put your hope in Him. " Sir 2:1-6

Same here. But if you refresh the page while viewing the chessboard, the problem disappears.

If you're living a happy life as a Christian, you're doing something wrong.

As I've found to be true, but the sudden reappearances of the problem at odd times can be rather annoying.

I've noticed it too...something to do with the CSS.  I'll have to investigate, but it might be a few before I can find out a solution.

Hello,

I have the same issue - Firefox 2.0.0.4
Through the intercession of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, may Jesus Christ bless you abundantly.

Pray that we may be one, as Christ and His Father are one. (John 17:20ff)
