Dear brothers and sisters,

My father has been battling metastatic lung cancer for around 3 months. He was brought into hospital tonight with constant coughing and has found to have an bronchial infection and fluid.

Your prayers would be appreciated.

God bless !

I will do everything I can .........I will pray and read the akathistos to the Panhagia Pantanassa the healer of cancer to help and cure your father.

I know how hard it is to see our beloved when suffering and in pain...
May Father died of Leukemia and my mother died a few months later of cancer when we were little children.....oh it was hard but God can do everything......God is full of mercy...he loves your Father.

The Mother of God Pantanassa heals especially the illness of cancer and also her Allholy Belt in Vatopaidi - I will ask them to pray for your father...I hope it will help.

May God bless you and your Father ......

What is your father's first name?

My prayers are with you in this most trying of time.  My wife of 46 years had this dreaded desease and battled it for some two years before she fell asleep in the lord. So I know what you are going through.  She had the incesant cough and she could never get any sleep because of it thus lessening her strength to fight the desease.

I feel for your situation and I will offer up my prayers for your father with the hope that he may, with the helping hand of God, be able to battle his way free of this illness.

Pray to St. Panteleimon and St. Nectarios patron saint of those who are afflicted with cancer.

~~~~Thankyou to all~~~~~
Joe and Christodoulos, thankyou for sharing your individual stories.
My father's name is Armando (Italian/Roman Catholic), and incidentally I did mention St. Nectarios to him. I pray your dear wife found peace in Christ following such a ravaging illness.
Papa Gregorio, Thank you for your kind words.  It is my hope that she did find peace.  She loved the Blessed Mother and was dedicated to her.  I was in a mixed marriage, she Roman Catholic, and me Eastern Orthodox.  Hard to believe but there was never a conflict ever over religion.  She received her last Communion the week she died.   So, I have the assurance she is at peace.
