On December 1, it will be the fourth anniversary of the repose of our brother and friend, John Royce (nee John Rojcewicz III), who posted here as "Hypo-Ortho" and at ByzCath as "Orthodox East".
John had been ill for a brief period of time when he died peacefully, at his computer, reading his beloved forums. John was a gentleman always and had a passion for his faith and Church.
O Lord, You took from this world the soul of our friend and brother, Your servant John, leading him to rest in a place of light, happiness, and peace, where there is neither pain nor suffering, neither grief nor sighing. Allow our brother to intercede before Your Holy Throne for the union of Your Holy Churches and having forgiven him every sin he has committed by thought, or word, or deed, grant that his memory be eternal and blessed.
Prayers for John's wife, children, and grandchildren, that they are comforted by happy memories of him and a firm belief that he is with God.
Memory eternal.
Neil

May he rest in Peace. I miss him too. I remember his pleasure and excitement when I told him that the "Harry Potter" book that had come out that summer was already recorded for listening. Ebor

Memory Eternal! I joined after Hypo-Ortho passed away but it is clear that he was loved by many here at OC.net.
