Here are mine:
1-D (unadulterated, full body flavour, may or may not be sweetened)
2-E (Italian in origin, requires application of pressure to get it)
3-C (Espresso with a different flavour)
4-F (Espresso with additives. Could be a great coffee if not so watered down)
5-B (Tastes OK, but doesn't have the power of Turkish, Espresso or Mocha)
6-G (Tries somewhat to resemble coffee)
7-A (Doesn't even try to resemble coffee)

First, you're Greek and drinking TURKISH coffee? 1) D) ARABIC coffee (<qahwah, they got the stuff from us too. We got it though from the Ethiopians. Thank you OO). 2) E) or B), depending on what group you're dealing with. B XVI definitely E). 3) C) Can be a rich bodied blend. 4) Not on the list, but Frappe. God's Frozen People (self-described), lots of cream but how much caffeine? 5) Used to be F), now more Mr. Coffee brewed with coffee mate. 6) Instant or G), depending on which group you're dealing with. Do I really have to explain why? 7) Not even A). Wouldn't put it in my mouth even to spit it out. This of course was picked becaue the second Liturgy (known elsewhere as the coffee hour) centers around the blood of the bean. Btw an excellent rule I learned about the Orthodox and language. If the coffee hour is in the same language as the DL, all is fine, but if the DL is in a different language than the coffee hour, something is wrong. |

This is great! No coffee--pla-ease, why do they call it coffee hour? My answers are based on the idea that Catholics add to the faith (devmt of doctrine) and Protestants take away (no Tradition), a common illustration used by Orthodox. 1. E - It's the real thing in the list - and potent too. (Personally, I prefer Chock 'ful of Nuts, which, conveniently, happens to be the Heavenly Coffee). 2. - F With lots of additives (milk) 3- C The same thing with less additives 4 - G has become so whimpy is it tasteless (although I really mean Episcoplians, not High Anglicans) 5 - B Takes all the kick out of the faith 6 - D Still has kick, but doesn't taste good. 7 - A not even coffee No offense, anyone. That was fun! |
